While the RIAI marked its 175th anniversary in 2014, there is another significant anniversary to be celebrated in 2015. Some 25 years ago – long before internationalisation became a prominent feature in Irish architecture – Irish and Russian architects engaged in a landmark professional exchange project which led in fascinating cross influences and intercultural dynamics. In 1990 visited the USSR for the first time using an old cliché, it changed my life.
