In Moscow, as well as in other Jewish little places existed two mutually exclusive traditions.  On one hand the synagogue is supposed to be the most beautiful, spacious and comfortable building in the centre of the town.

On the other hand, the government always insisted on a synagogue to be the most imperceptible.

Now, upon reconstruction, the Synagogue on Bolshaya Bronnaya will dominate, at list in this quarter.
