Yesterday, September 24, Sergey Estrin spoke at the round table “Imitation or Interpretation”.

The round table was held as part of the ArchiDigitalArts 2 Digital Architectural Drawing Contest, and was dedicated to the digital graphic culture in architectural practice. The event was held at ARCH CLUB 24.

The jury members of the first and current competitions of Archi DigitalArts, practitioners for whom graphic communication is an important component of professional representation, representatives of specialized media daily analyzing a huge number of architectural “pictures”, and experts in the field of graphic software were invited to participate in the conversation.

The following topics were discussed at the meeting:
– Can design graphics be an independent work of art and should this be sought?
– Techniques and tools for persuasive presentation
– Better than in life: temptations and traps of rendering
– Graphics “for portfolio” and “on order”
– The best visualizer: in the state, on the side, to myself
– Imaginary worlds in digital embodiment: images, meanings and goals
