The Award has a great potential. It is important that the winners’ projects are really advanced in their nominations. Then we can talk about the legislators of fashion trends.
Trends, in my opinion – this is not a color or texture, which must be used in the new season, but something important that “sounds” in the interior in a way that did not sound like before. The way of life of clients changes, and the interior also changes.
I think a lot depends on the nominations. Even on how they are named. When I look and evaluate really interesting projects sent for participation in the contest, for them often there is simply no necessary nomination. “The best private interior”, “the best private”, “the best private”, “the best private interior”, “the best public” … And if the project has unique details made on author’s sketches? Furniture made especially for the project … It often happens that the project cannot be fully realized, but something can be done magnificently. Why cannot I nominate for such projects? Then with the evaluation criteria it will be easier – a cool idea and a brilliant implementation can be easily distinguished from the “middle-sized project”. A separate nomination should be for talented interior photographers who can turn a mediocre project into an extraordinarily spectacular one. A separate nomination could be for a light solution of space.
Are there many awards in Russia, which are known as the “Oscar”? Who knows the physicists, chemists, architects who receive the award? In order to make any award popular, known not only among its own, we need media support, including information support for the winners and after the award. Well, the nominations, about which I spoke above, there must be a lot, so that the participants have the opportunity to be marked in one way or another! “Oscar” gives and for the best make-up, and for the best installation of a sound, and even for the best sound reduction! In the work on the interior design too many components …
Discoveries when working in the jury of the competition with the involvement of new trends and trends. Not contrived, but genuine, interesting. For this project, participants need to be considered in detail. When you see an actual, clever and obvious solution among the image stream, it becomes an opening.
